Devin's coming home!

After nearly 10 weeks of life in the hospital,  Devin is about ready bust out of there! Dan and I completed our 48 hour room in over the weekend.  We spent 2 nights with Devin at the hospital to prove we can take care of all his medical needs once he gets home.

We are so excited to have all our boys in one place, but are fully aware of the difficulty that comes with having this special little guy home. He will have a feeding tube as he continues to learn to take a bottle, he will have several medications to take multiple times a day, he will have several therapy sessions a week, and weekly cardiology appointments in Dallas. So add that to an already busy house with three other boys;  the thought of that can be bit overwhelming!

Devin's next open heart surgery will take place in the fall. This interstage period from now until then is very critical.  We will have to be very cautious about germs and sickness, so we will not be able to bring Devin to church, or have a lot of visitors.  Kind of a bummer after being in the hospital for so long. We want to make sure we can keep him as healthy as possible since sickness will be more life threatening for him at this stage.

It's so hard to believe this day has finally come! God has been so faithful to answer such specific prayers over Devin's recovery. We can't thank y'all enough for your prayers and support!  We look forward to watching him grow, and fulfill the amazing purpose God has for his life!
