Another Hospital Adventure for Devin!
Well, Hello Everyone! I have had every intention of keeping you all more updated about “baby” Devin, but as they say “no news is good news”. I guess that has been mostly the case, aside from just being super busy with that kid and his 3 brothers. It’s been a whirlwind of a year. 1 year ago tomorrow we were going into the hospital for Devin to have his G-button put in, which was a huge blessing since he did not start eating anything by mouth until September. He’s been doing well at eating by mouth, which was something 6 months ago we would have NEVER anticipated. Also in September, we were finally able to wean him off the remainder of his narcotics. This was a huge victory, but was a difficult road as we fought through each wean that was met with aggressive withdrawals. It felt at times he would never be off of that, but thankfully that is behind us. Tomorrow, Devin will be going back to the hospital bright and early to the Heart Cath Lab...
