Heart Cath Tomorrow!...WHAT?

Yes, that's right.  We found out this afternoon, that Baby Devin is in fact having another procedure tomorrow morning.  Long story short, his lungs have not improved much since last week after he underwent the surgery for his diaphragm.  They want to go in tomorrow and do a heart cath to make sure they are not missing any other contributing factors of why his oxygen saturation have been low.  While we are really grateful that they want to be so thorough with Devin; this came up quickly and caught us off guard.  We know it is best for him in the long run, but it means that once again he will need to be intubated, and undergo anesthesia.

This is all still very fresh from the nightmare we felt last week when he came out of surgery in so much pain.  While our minds understand the need for this to happen, our hearts are having a harder time catching up.  Please just keep him in prayer.  Pray that his cardiologist would see the important things that need to been seen as he checks out his heart, and for wisdom & precision.  This is the same cath doctor who saved his life when he was born, so we have total trust and respect for him.  Pray that extubation, and coming off sedation would go as well as it can, and that any pain he might be in can be managed.  Pray this would be a step forward, and not a step back.  We seem to have taken too many steps back last week.
