Post-op Day #1
Devin had a decent night last night. As sedation started to get out of his system, he started to get more fussy, and this morning he was very upset. One of the main pain meds they like to use after the Glen is off limits for Devin as last time we were here it had caused him to stop breathing on two separate occasions.
Around noon he finally was able to settle in and get some much needed rest. He rested for quite a while until later this evening. He then had another angry spell and his oxygen saturations dropped significantly. His breathing has become much more labored, so they did a chest x-ray and found his left lung has collapsed. They put him on a higher flow of oxygen and are working to help pop it back up.
We're hoping and praying that Devin makes a turn for the better tonight and we can make some steady progress by tomorrow.
Thank you all for the overwhelming amount of prayers, and support for Devin and our family. We'll keep you updated!
I just started keeping an eye on this blog. Praying for ur sweet baby tonight and my heart breaks for you guys as you fight so hard. I hope and pray that God meets you all tonight and that He re-inflates lil Devin's lung. <3
