Post-op Day #4

Thank you all for your fervent prayers for Devin’s lungs!  We did see a little improvement from his X-ray this morning, but the X-ray this afternoon went the other direction and was more diminished.  They did remove one of his chest tubes that was placed during surgery for drainage, and he seems to be more comfortable with one less thing causing him pain.  They were also able to get a better handle on his pain meds today.  He’d been waking up very angry from the tube down his throat, the post-op headaches, and the general pain in his chest from surgery. He slept much better this afternoon, and has been more consolable, which is a blessing for sure!

Although Devin’s lungs were not clear yet, we are humbled by so many people who are praying for him!  I woke up to so many messages and comments about people from all over praying for, and loving our little man!  Thank you!!

We had a long night and day today, so we’ll keep this short, but just wanted to give you a little update. Please just continue in prayer for his lungs. If he progresses like after his last heart surgery; it will be slow and steady!

The Lord obviously has big plans for his life, and we are just beginning to see the story of his life being written. We pray that it will reflect a big God, who cares so much for people with little hearts!
