Surgery for Devin Tomorrow!

Thank you all for praying about peace and clarity for the doctors, and Devin’s team as to whether or not they should move ahead with surgery.  His team decided it is best to move forward with surgery tomorrow since Devin is not showing any progress with breathing on his own.  This is not another heart surgery, but is a surgery that will tack down his paralyzed diaphragm.  This will allow his lungs some time to heal and expand so he is able to take full breaths again on his own.  He’s basically been breathing with one lung since his surgery 5 weeks ago, and is what has kept Devin in the hospital longer than expected.

Please be praying this surgery would do exactly what needs to be done so Devin’s body can start to heal, and he’ll be able to breathe again on his own!  Also, pray things go smoothly with anesthesia, and being intubated.  We always have this innate fear he won’t be able to breath after they extubated, so please pray his lungs would function just how they are suppose to when it is time!
